MileHorizon (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates milehorizon.com. This page explains what information we collect from visitors and how it’s used.
Information we collect
We do not require an account to read this site. If you sign up for our email newsletter, we collect the email address you provide, through a form powered by Brevo (Sendinblue), our email service provider. You will only be added to this list if you actively opt in and check the consent box on our signup form.
We use Google Search Console to understand how our site performs in Google Search results (which pages appear, for which search terms, click and impression counts). This data is aggregated by Google and does not identify individual visitors to us directly.
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used: which pages are read, how visitors arrive, roughly where in the world they are, and what kind of device they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data on our behalf. We have not enabled Google Signals or advertising features that would let us identify you personally, and we do not upload any personal data to Analytics.
Our hosting provider (IONOS) and standard web server logs may automatically record technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and site-operation purposes.
Advertising
MileHorizon is funded by advertising and affiliate commissions rather than by its readers. Advertising on this site is served by Google AdSense.
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and to other sites on the internet. These third-party vendors may also use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies to collect information about your visits in order to measure and target advertising.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by Google at Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of a wider set of third-party advertising vendors at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.
